My Pearls were in Reach

If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I had a pretty busy day, or should I say exhausting day, which included 4 hours of sleep and a snow day. Even with that craziness, I felt like my peals were in reach.

Yesterday for several hours I had 6 children in my house ranging in age from 2-12, and somehow I still got a ton of housework done.  The house didn’t look like a hot mess when Bald Man got home,  and I made a great dinner.  For the first time, I felt my pearls were in reach.

I did make the main course of my dinner in the slow cooker.  However, I also cleaned the house and I got the laundry folded and put away too.  I truly felt that I was making progress on my pearl quest.

Today is another story I haven’t got a clue what I’m making for dinner and I didn’t get much of anything done. The house is picked up, but that is pretty much it.  There are two contributing factors to this.

The first the next season of When Calls the Heart was added to Netflix. Try as I might I really love to binge watch.  The second thing is that I’m so close to finishing Bald Man’s 4th Doctor scarf, I just want to be done with it.  If you know anything about Doctor Who you know that the fourth Doctor’s scarf is crazy long.

I had an illustration for this post planned, but I wanted to make sure it got posted today, so I did a nice phot instead.  I’m going to be completely honest I love doing the illustrations for this blog, but they take a lot of time.  Sometimes I have to choose between getting a post up or getting an illustration done.  Usually, the post trumps the illustration, but I’m going to work on it
